Meet Luis Velasquez, FastGrid’s Vice President and international man of renewable mystery! With a bachelor’s in Civil and Structural Engineering and a master’s in Renewable Energy, Luis is like the Indiana Jones of the clean energy world. This globe-trotter has been adventuring in the renewable energy sector for over 13 years, managing projects so large they can probably be seen from space.
At FastGrid, Luis is our jack-of-all-trades and master of... well, pretty much everything. He juggles responsibilities like a circus performer on espresso, overseeing projects, leading technical studies, and developing company strategies. And he does it all with the precision of a Swiss watch and the adaptability of a chameleon at a disco. Luis has overseen the installation of a whopping 7GW of renewable energy capacity—that’s enough power to send Doc Brown’s DeLorean back to the future about 5,833,333 times!
When he’s not busy saving the world, you might find Luis exploring local food markets in one of the 20+ countries he’s visited or unwinding with a fishing rod in hand. So, the next time you see a solar plant sprouting up in a far-flung corner of the globe, give a little nod to Luis. He’s probably nearby, armed with engineering know-how and a street food map, ready to make the world greener—one project, one country, and one bite at a time!
